Relooking at this one. Fantasy Flight Games has released four RPG's set in the setting. Rogue Trader which is about frieghter captains. Inquisitions, Space Marines and Chaos. Chaos is the only one I have no interest in. The books are huge and when looked at one in the store they are beautiful. They are really high quality. I am tempted to pick one up for Fathers Day as they are right now the nicest looking books available or darn close.
I never really was exposed to Warhammer.
I keep thinking about this one. They have 3 separate cores out now. Which has people complaining but I don't mind. D&D has 3 core books, but in this case the books are setting specific. A core for Inquisitors and there is one for Rogue traders. They end up being totally different campaigns. I like the setting. One I will keep toying with.
Characters are done. Just subscribe to the game and ill assign them.
There are Dwarves in the Fantasy game. 40k has Ogres, Elves, Orcs not sure on Dwaves. But the main guys who are the iconic dudes are the Human Space marines.
For some reason I always though it was dwarves. I guess with "hammer" and the minis tended to look dwarvish.

Me to. I don't play the wargame but I do hang out at Games Workshop sometimes talking and I buy some of their miniatures for painting. But I have always seriously dug their setting. Its dark, gritty and nasty. They have expanded it alot from just having Orcs and Space Marines.
That looks good. I am interested to see how this plays.
Unfortunately no as the rules are in the adventure. As its a primer or maybe even a game that could be played at a Con the rules are placed within at the situation they relate to. If the chars are crossing a rope bridge then there they will discuss dex checks etc. But I can try and find you some other related info to read up on.

With no Characters to gen, I am in, I can read what ever rules material they have while waiting at the airport. Do you have a link handy for that?
the 40k setting is pretty interesting. This first one is premade chars and a bit simplified, but its a good taste of what the main game is going to be. I am thinking of ending Starship troopers at the end of the current adventure. Some of the ideas I had for it will cross to 40k and 40k is not a D20 based system.
I've never player Warhammer, but was always a little interested, so I'll give it a shot.
