Some time ago I had setup an FTP site for GMs to upload gameaids and then link to them in their games. This has largely become unnecessary due to the ability to attach files within the game, but there are situations where this still might be necessary. So, the following information can be used to upload files.

FTP Info
---------
Host: ftp.hdrpg.com
login: gameaids@hdrpg.com
password: hdrpgcom

You can use any free FTP client (such as SmartFTP, or CuteFTP) to connect. Once you've connected, you should create your own folder (you'll see others there, such as steelrat), where you'll place your files. You can create sub-folders below your named folder as well, in case you're running multiple games. For best results, do not use spaces in the folder or filenames.

If you're using something like MapTool to upload your map, use the following path in the FTP dialog: /YourNamedFolder/SubFolder/filename.png

This can be useful for updating the same map over and over again without having to change links or re-upload new files over and over again. Just use the same filename with Maptool for your encounter maps (as an example), and put the link into a Game Aid within your game.

Please be careful when using this option, and don't upload extremely large files. And please delete files which are no longer necessary.

As always, comment here if you have any questions.
