            The Japanese have really embraced western style high fantasy and put there own spin on it.  Through anime, manga and light novels there is a huge array of stories that can be an inspiration for any fantasy RPG Player or GM. One of the older ones now is The Record of the Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight is an anime that is both a continuation and somewhat of a retelling of the Record of Lodoss War OVA. The original work stood out highly as a great entry in the high fantasy genre.

This mission took the Outskirt Adventuring Guild trio to the not-so-end-of-the-road rural Road’s End Inn. A family of shepherds in that area had lost one of their flock – their daughter had gone missing with their sheep.  Thus began a fine tale of how adventurers often find solutions that they were not even looking for.

Obviously word of the newly opened Adventurer’s Guild was starting to spread. So for the Guild’s 2nd mission the local merchant’s association knew who call on to solve a problem of bandits raiding their caravan’s and then fading into the nearby swamp.

One of the miniature companies I have been watching for a long time is Yedharo Models. One thing that I have loved about their miniatures is that they do them in a way that is easily recognizable to many of the High Fantasy tropes that we are familiar with. Then they give each a twist that makes them very original and a whole bunch of fun.

Historic 1st quest of the Guild of Outskirt

On this day the premier adventurers of the new Outskirt Adventurers’ Guild undertook it’s inaugural quest to save the economic livelihood of the area. Fated to be a quest that would lead them into the depths of the earth and into the mysteries of the ancient past where Dragons battled Demons.
