The Emerald Empire, the empire of the gods, has stood for thousands of years. A place of great beauty and mystery. Many of the legends are held as fact. Though in some areas that is true: the gods exist, their servant deities (Kami) are communed with through Shugenja. They can be powerful allies but few understand their motivations.

Some say the Shadowlands came into being through an act of ultimate betrayal and sadness. That a hole was ripped to hell and those there escaped. On the other side of The Great Wall the Crab Clan hold as best they can against the demons and undead that roam those lands. The corruption of the soul is something all Crab fear.

The Emperor is a child. He has a court of advisors, but the Empire is run by the Shogun. The military leader. The Empire is in a state of uncertainty. The Shogun’s brother Hikibi, leader of The Spider Clan, has long disputed that he should have inherited that role. He claims that the title and power of Shogun should have been that of the Spiders.

For years his forces have grown and a series of border disputes has seen several smaller families fall prey to the growing power of the Spider. The Spiders are sitting in the center of a large web. You will find yourselves in Service of Lord Mifune as the Empire tries to deal with the threat.<\/p>\n\n\n
